Hi, I’m Lyric Kinard — and for decades, I’ve taught creative workshops to thousands of students around the world, both in person and online.
I’ve launched dozens of successful courses in quilting, surface design, and fiber arts and helped hundreds of other creative teachers bring their workshops online through the Academy for Virtual Teaching.
Along the way, I learned that the most important step isn’t building the course — it’s knowing how to invite students in. That’s what this Lab is about: helping you craft your offer, open enrollment, and welcome real students before you create a single lesson.
If you’ve got something to teach but haven’t known how to begin, I’ll walk with you through the launch process. You don’t need a finished course. Just your skills, your voice, and a plan.

What is the time commitment?
